Twenty-four hours after this terrible scene of violence, the mystery still hangs over this story. A young man in his twenties was kidnapped by four men on Sunday morning in a small peaceful square located in the old center of Villeparisis (Seine-et-Marne). A local resident called the police around 8:50 a.m. As revealed by Actu17, he saw the kidnappers, armed with a shotgun, attack the victim before locking him in the trunk of a Renault Mégane and fleeing.
The scene described is particularly shocking, by its length and by the violence deployed. This boy, dressed in jeans and a brown leather jacket and a fur collar, is trying to escape from the clutches of these four bandits. Then he is grabbed, lying in the trunk by this team of fellows wearing hoods and dressed in black. One of his attackers stuffs him with a series of ten punches to keep him in the trunk.
The young man manages to get out. He is immediately caught, lying on a gray Peugeot and one of the kidnappers hits his head three times against the hood. Then they seize him by the arms and feet before throwing him again into the trunk, not without kicking him many times. A woman passes by them, without flinching, and the car leaves the scene. The alert is given a few minutes later. Law enforcement is conducting a search in the area to find the vehicle without result.
Investigators from the judicial police services of Meaux and Melun are responsible for carrying out the investigations. This Monday morning, the victim who has not been identified and above all has not resurfaced. And nothing allows him, for the moment, to know who are his captors and their motivations.
Kidnapping followed by sequestration is a classic modus operandi in the narcotics world and more generally in banditry. This involves finding a team member accused of stealing money or drugs. The victims are held and sometimes tortured for several days to pressure their relatives to pay their real or supposed debt.
