TRUMBULL — Police say two men involved in a fight outside a local supermarket late Friday afternoon have been arrested.
A 55-year-old Trumbull man was charged with two counts of second-degree breach of peace, and a 19-year-old Bridgeport man was charged with one count of second-degree breach of peace, Trumbull Police Lt. Brian Weir said Monday.
The Trumbull man was treated at St. Vincent's Medical Center for a head injury after a punch knocked him off his feet, Weir said.
Weir said the incident at the Stop & Shop at 100 Quality St. drew a large police response after multiple 911 calls reported a disturbance in the parking lot.
Weir said the incident began when the men “made eye contact and arm gestures toward each other” as the Trumbull man was walking in the parking lot and the Bridgeport man was driving.
