This afternoon, CHP Airplane 37 responded to assist Contra Costa Sheriff's Deputies who were in pursuit westbound on Highway 24.
Air-37 arrived overhead, allowing all ground units to stop pursuing this stolen vehicle suspect. Once the vehicle stopped, the suspect attempted to walk away in the City of Oakland.
Officers from attempted to arrest the suspect, but he fled on foot. The suspect was arrested after a foot chase and turned over to responding Contra Costa Deputies.
Contra Costa Deputies will be investigating this incident.
