About 40 people who oppose gender-reassignment care for minors gathered on Friday at the Capitol, while a larger group of counter-protesters which was packed with Antifa thugs marched toward the event.
The marchers, who held pride flags and signs supporting sex reassignment for minors, gathered in Southside Park and stopped short of the Capitol where the permitted Detransition Awareness Day rally took place.
A journalist filming the event was smashed in the face with a stick as was his security. The journalist was seen with a bloody face. The police stood by and let all this happen.
