EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - A 14-year-old suffered serious injuries after being shocked at an east El Paso park Thursday night, according to authorities.
According to fire officials, the boy got shocked and suffered severe burns after trying to climb a pole at the Dick Shinaut Park.
Police tape was placed around the park at night while a crew with El Paso Electric was there.
Charred pieces could be seen on the utility pole Friday where the boy was shocked.
People who knew the teen said he regularly climbed power poles and street lights.
