Uganda-Police Constable Ivan Vabvir flew into a rage and shot the loan shark after being told he owed the service provider 2.1 million shillings.
Kampala police are looking for one of their officers wanted for murder after he allegedly shot a loan shark at Raja Chambers on Parliament Avenue in Kampala.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman Patrick Onyango identified the shooter as Police Constable No. 67029 (PC) Ivan Vabvir.
The victim of the 13:00 shooting was identified as Uttam Bhandari, an Indian citizen and director of TFS Financial Services.
“The client, who is also a police officer named PC Ivan Vabvir, first came yesterday (Thursday) and met with TFS' director of financial services to check how much he owes the company,” Mr. Onyango said.
Since 2020, the police officer has reportedly served two loans. The first loan was coded (deducted directly from his salary), but the second was not.
