A video recently surfaced on social media of a special police officer and a patron engaged in an intense face-off while waiting to be fed at a fast food eatery. The footage does not show which individual started the verbal altercation, but neither demonstrated restraint nor willingness to walk away, as bystanders filmed and instigated during the incident. While the special police officer did not have much to say during the recording, the patron involved issued several threats and insults bordering on violating a law called “contempt of cop.” Conversely, the special police officer was the one who turned the verbal spat into an all-out brawl when he proceeded to strike the patron first.
Once the fight ensued, the special police officer took the patron down, who slowly gained the advantage before putting the special police officer in a chokehold. The special police officer did reach for his gun, but thankfully the incident did not end with him discharging his weapon.
While special police officers are not cops, officially, they offer auxiliary services to actual police officers and typically operate under the umbrella of the local police force.
