The shelves are mostly bare at a CVS store in D.C.'s Columbia Heights neighborhood after workers tell FOX 5 thieves have been planning targeted robberies scheduled around merchandise delivery times.
FOX 5's Sierra Fox says she spoke with people who work at the store on 14th Street in the northwest who say a large group of about 45 juveniles regularly enter the store before school, after school, and late at night to steal chips and drinks.
Staff at CVS have been alerted that thieves are aware of when new shipments come in and that's when they target the store, Fox reported, adding that street venders are allegedly paying people to steal, so they can re-sell it.
