Three people were arrested for disrespect and three officers suffered minor injuries.
The mayor of Arnhem, Ahmed Marcouch, who is of Moroccan origin, said that burning a holy book is not prohibited in the Netherlands. Marcouch added that while such an act may be understandable to make people feel, the use of violence is unacceptable.
