A transgender murderer refuses to apologize in court and claims to be the victim after he murdered an innocent cab driver in cold blood.
Moses Jacob Lopez smirked in court and justified the murder because he didn't get help from "from 911 services."
"I refuse to apologize for the lack of help I so desperately needed and called and asked for from 911 services," Lopez said.
Lopez claimed his gender identity made him feel "targeted" and vulnerable.
The transgender was initially charged with murdering driver Reese McDowell Lawhon but got off easy with a plea deal and will only serve 22 years.
When the family called Lopez a "monster," Lopez smirked.
On the night of the murder, Lopez was partying in downtown Portland and called 911 for a ride home during a mental breakdown.
The operator told him to call a cab.
Lawhon picked up Lopez but the address was put in wrong which meant the pair ended up in the wrong area.
Lawhon realized the mistake and began driving Lopez in the right direction however it was too late. The transgender jumped forward and stabbed Lawhon in the neck "completely out of the blue" according to detectives.
