A man tries escaping from the police through the ceiling at a New Mexico hospital after convincing police that he was having chest pains.
'Conman' Steven Byers was arrested after driving a stolen vehicle. After complaining about his stomach, police officers took Byers to the hospital.
Byers convinced the officer to take his cuffs off so he could go to the bathroom.
After some time in the bathroom, a nurse said she heard noises coming from the ceiling.
When officers rushed into the bathroom, Byers was gone and a panel was missing from the ceiling.
While in the ceiling, Byers attempted to find a way out of the hospital.
He was eventually found by an officer in a cavity.
The hospital estimates that Byers' "great escape" will cost them about $20,000 in repairs.
