A suspect accused of randomly punching and breaking a woman’s jaw has been RELEASED AGAIN even after prosecutors upgraded the assault charge to a felony.
Dulce Pichardo, 57, suffered a broken jaw, lost three teeth, and has nerve damage, requiring her jaw to be wired shut and to drink through a straw
Franz Jeudy, 33, remained on supervised release after he was indicted on charges including second-degree assault more than a month after the alleged attack.
The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office asked for $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond for the upgraded charges.
Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Matthew Sciarrino refused the request.
His next court date in Brooklyn is July 2.
