Man accused of sexually assaulting an 81-year-old Alzheimer's patient after knocking on her door and taking advantage of her confusion.
The 81-year-old woman allowed a man carrying a backpack into her home on Monday.
‘He starts looking around to make sure there's nobody in the house. He starts hugging her and starts to try to make out with her.’
The man is accused of forcing the elderly woman to perform sexual acts on him.
Her condition led her to believe she recognized him and felt comfortable with his presence.
The son-in-law said she didn't remember the abuse and they wouldn't have known if it wasn't for the hidden cameras.
Authorities categorized the incident as attempted rape.
The suspect was tracked down by authorities on Friday in the same area and is expected to be charged with sexual assault.
