Christian Foster Parents May Lose Their Kids To The State Because They Won't Let The Children Get Sex Change Treatments

Christian parents say the state threatened to revoke their foster license because of their stance on transgender ideology and sex-change treatments for foster children.

“The fact that I wouldn't discuss they/them pronouns with my 5-year-old son was also a major issue”

The Vermont DCF contacted the couple after she posted a petition advocating for parental rights on her social media page.

The couple says the state made them take LGBTQ+ training on medical procedures for trans kids as part of their license application

The husband says DCF threatened to revoke their license if they didn't affirm gender ideology.

The couple refused and say their foster license has been effectively shadow-revoked.

“They made us take LGBTQ training, and a lot of their training focused on medical intervention, and one training actually alludes to the fact that sometimes it's better to intervene medically earlier rather than later.”

“And so a few days later, the licensor sent me an email saying that she spoke to her supervisor and because I would not foster a transgender child or discuss they/them pronouns with my son, that they were going to have to pull our license."

"And we’re essentially being told that we're not fit to do that because of our beliefs, basically DCF's beliefs on gender ideology. And their beliefs, in my thought process, is not even really based in fact, it's just their opinion. And because of that, they're not allowing us to foster children, and there's a lot of children out there that need a home."
