Teens who beat 17-year-old Jonathan Lewis to death in Las Vegas will not be charged as adults after they agreed to plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter.
The thugs were initially charged with second-degree murder and conspiracy.
"This negotiation enables my client to graduate high school, move on with his life, and become a productive citizen," a defense lawyer said.
The lawyer said he would be requesting his client be released from custody with credit for time already served.
Lewis’ mother says she is "dumbfounded" by the decision, says the Clark County DA office told her the teens would plead guilty to murder in the adult court system.
