The Maryland high school student accused of killing a 15-year-old classmate after a fight on the first day of the semester has been charged with murder.
Jaylen Prince, 16, has been charged as an adult with first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, use of a firearm, and possession of a firearm.
Prince allegedly shot Warren Grant inside a bathroom at Joppatowne High School.
He is being held without bail.
The Harford County State's Attorney's office argued he was a danger to the public.
Prince was already known to law enforcement, but it's unclear if he had a juvenile record.
“We’ve had more than 10 incidents since 2022 where the suspect was either the victim, witness or the suspect in Harford County Sheriff’s Office investigations,” officials said.
