An investigation has been launched after a man was brutally attacked with hammers and a baseball bat in Accrington UK.
Police said they were called at 8.30 am to Wordsworth Road on Wednesday, November 6, where they found a man in his 50s who had been assaulted by six men who were traveling in a Land Rover and a BMW X5.
The BMW had collided with the front of the victim’s car, a Volkswagen Golf, and the Land Rover with the rear of the car, with all vehicles sustaining damage.
Police believe this was a targeted attack and there is no wider threat to the community.
Footage of the incident seen by the Lancashire Telegraph showed the suspects getting out of their vehicles and attacking the victim with weapons, with the driver suffering injuries to his legs and face.
The clip shows the Volkswagen Golf sandwiched between the two other vehicles with masked men attacking the car and its driver with weapons.
