A mother who slowly cooked her two toddlers in an oven and sent their father a video of their bodies has been sentenced to life in prison.
Lamora Williams "knowingly and intentionally" killed her sons, Ke’Younte Penn (2) and Ja’Karter Williams (1), by placing them in an oven and turning it on, police say.
The boys were found "severely burned" by authorities in their Atlanta home in October 2017.
Williams told a 911 dispatcher she found the children dead and the caregiver missing, a claim investigators determined to be false.
“When I came in, the stove was laying on my son, on my youngest son’s head, and my other son was laid out on the floor with his brains laid out on the floor,” Williams said in a chilling 911 call.
“Like, can you please tell me, like, I don’t want to get locked up because this is not my fault. I had just came home from work,” she continued.
Williams called the boys’ father, Jameel Penn, and showed him live footage of the crime scene, where his children lay lifeless on the floor.
Jameel Penn immediately called 911, coinciding with Williams' own call to report the incident.
