Florida parents assault a middle school deputy during a meeting about how their son assaulted someone.
I wonder where that child learned to hit people.
Jorge Rivera and his wife Dagmarie Aponte Iturrino were charged with assault after a meeting at Deltona Middle School in Florida.
The meeting took place after the parents showed up at the school to "protest" the officer's decision to give their son a battery charge.
Their son had allegedly shoved a classmate the day before, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
When the parents became more irritated with the officer's decision, they decided to assault her.
The officer was sent to the hospital with a concussion from the altercation.
The parents were charged with battery on an officer, resisting with violence, disrupting a school function, and trespassing.
Authorities said Rivera was also charged with armed robbery and grand theft for taking the deputy’s taser.
