BERKELEY, Mo. (KMOV/Gray News) – An Amazon employee was stabbed to death at a warehouse in Missouri on Sunday evening.
Police in Berkeley, a suburb of St. Louis, said the employee was stabbed during an argument with a coworker at the Amazon Warehouse on Springdale Avenue.
Police said the 31-year-old employee died from his injuries.
His coworker, identified as 41-year-old Patrick Thrower, has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
A probable cause statement says a third employee identified Thrower as one of the people involved in the stabbing.
The statement also says the stabbing was recorded on video. The video reportedly shows Thrower holding a knife before confronting the victim outside the main entrance of the building, court documents say.
Amazon said they are “saddened by this senseless act of violence and are focused on providing support for our employees at this time.”
Amazon also said they are cooperating with the Berkeley Police Department and will continue to assist in the investigation.
