This is the shocking moment a boy was engulfed in flames in a botched stunt at an Indian actor's lavish birthday party.
The youngster was performing a karate chop on three blocks of wood and set his hand alight for added danger - in a 'what could possibly go wrong' type moment.
Footage shows the youngster, his hand still dripping with fuel, having his hand set ablaze before karate chopping stacks of wood at Indian celebrity Vijay's birthday celebration After breaking the wooden planks, the boy then tried to blow on his hand to put out the fire but was left flailing and screaming in pain onstage as the flames spread further on his arm.
A bungling staff member bizarrely attempted to douse the fire by pouring more flammable liquid on it, causing it to spread even further.
The boy was rushed to a hospital with minor injuries. The party was cancelled following the botched stunt for the local actor Vijay in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, southern India on June 22.
Ajay is known across India for his work in TV shows and movies in the Telugu and Tamil languages. He is married to Swetha Ravuri and they have two children.
