A violent fight between two students at a North Texas school on Tuesday morning was caught on camera, and the video is making the rounds on social media and sparking outrage from concerned parents.
The Bedford Police Department said one of its officers responded to the scene at Harwood Junior High, in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford school district, while acting in the capacity of school resource officer.
The officer was called to a fight in progress shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 25. Police said in a social media post on Thursday, March 27, that when the officer arrived, a staff member was trying to separate the students and the officer immediately took control of one of them.
The school nurse arrived and treated the other student for injuries, according to the police post. It’s not clear how serious his injuries were.
