A Pirates fan appears to jump over a 20-foot wall and land on the field at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The incident happened after Pirates' Andrew McCutchen hit an RBI double in the seventh inning.
According to CBS News, medical staff quickly came to his aid and placed him on a backboard before carting him off.
Players were seen praying as medical staff tended to him.
The game was delayed for about 10 minutes.
Players from both teams took a knee as he was attended to by athletic trainers, before the medical cart came out to remove him from the field. McCutchen was also seen holding a cross that hung from his neck as the fan was transported away, in the second MLB medical emergency of the night.
The Pirates then shared a statement, as they wrote: "Tonight, during the seventh inning of the game at PNC Park, an adult male fell from the right field bleachers onto the field of play. Pittsburgh EMS, as well as the Pirates and Cubs athletic training teams and other PNC Park personnel reacted and responded immediately and administered care.
"He was transported to Allegheny General Hospital. No further information is available at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family."
