Shocking dashcam video captured the moment the driver of a minivan violently swerved into a motorcyclist on an Oregon highway in a horrifying act of road rage.
The hit-and-run occurred around 6:15 am Monday near US 26 in Beaverton outside Portland.
Footage released by the Beaverton Police shows what authorities believe to be the conclusion of a road rage encounter between the motorcyclist and the unidentified driver of Kia Carnival.
In the clip, the blue minivan and motorcycle are seen traveling side-by-side when the motorcyclist appears to gesture at the driver in frustration.
The minivan then suddenly swerves into the biker over three lanes, sending him smashing into road and skidding into the shoulder. The minivan then speeds away.
Witnesses can be seen pulling over to assist the rider, who survived but suffered serious injuries.
First responders rushed the 21-year-old victim to a Portland trauma center, where he was treated for a serious concussion and extensive road rash, according to his family.
Police confirmed his injuries were not life-threatening.
