Brawl Inside Store Near Western Michigan University Ends In Gunfire, 4 People Shot
KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Four people were shot and another person has minor injuries after an early morning shooting Saturday in Kalamazoo near the campus of Western Michigan University.
It happened in the 2700 block of West Michigan Avenue around 3:16 a.m., according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
All of the victims are in stable condition and police are still looking for a suspect, KDPS said.
One person was arrested on a weapons charge, according to investigators.
Investigators are still looking for two people deemed as "persons of interest."
Officers arrived on scene and found a 19-year-old man who'd been shot in the heel, according to police. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
A 23-year-old man was shot in the stomach and two other 23-year-old men had been shot in their feet, KDPS said. A 21-year-old man had minor injuries to his face from debris, but was not hit.
News Channel 3 was on the scene around 3:30 Saturday morning and saw police cars surrounding Two Fellas Grill. At least one ambulance was spotted at the scene.
