Horrific Footage Shows A Man Walk Into An Office With A Shotgun And Shoot And Kill His Ex
Atilla Ayintapli, 44, hid a shotgun in a blue plastic bag and entered a private hospital where his ex-wife, Eser Karaca, 42—a mother-of-two and medical secretary—worked. He chased her through an office space after she fled with a colleague, cornering her and firing three shots into her torso, causing her to slump to the ground.
Terrified colleagues ran in the opposite direction as Ayintapli fled on foot, discarding the weapon at the hospital entrance. Staff discovered Karaca’s body, with one man visibly distraught upon seeing it.
On the morning of the incident, Karaca had filed for a fourth restraining order against Ayintapli, but officials hadn’t served it yet. Turkish police arrested him shortly after, and he confessed during interrogation before being transferred to the courthouse.
The case is part of Turkey’s ongoing femicide crisis, highlighted by a recent high court ruling allowing reduced sentences for men if women “provoke” them by refusing sex, as in the unrelated 2020 Izmir murder of Ceyda Yüksel by Serkan Dindar.
