Austin Cop Removed From Duty After Knocking Out A Guy Who Was Part Of A Rowdy Crowd
An Austin police officer was removed from patrol after punching a man and knocking him out.
According to the Austin Police, an officer struck a person during a crowd control incident.
The officer’s name has not been released.
Police Chief Lisa Davis said she has reviewed the footage and launched an investigation.
APD will review additional camera footage and interview the officer and witnesses who were at the scene.
