Two fast hydroplanes are running together on this windy August morning at Jacobsen Park Lake in Lexington Kentucky. The water is choppy and a little rough for these boats to be operating at high speeds. The boat carrying the camera is an all wood hull built from plans by Dave Frank, a west coast r/c race boat enthusiast and is powered by a Cordite speed 700 motor and six lithium/ polymer power cells. Owner/builder, Montavestaman aka Dick Martin is operating the boat. The other hydro you will see on the course and operating at a higher speed is an Aqua-Craft U-1 Superior hydroplane owned and operated by master modeler Doug Allgier. Another day, when the wind is down and the water calm we'll make another video on this course and run closer together for the camera.........hope you have as much fun watching this as Doug and myself had making it. See you next time !
