On October 25, 2014, at 2:40 am, the complainant, a 36 year-old male, was walking on the 100 block of carpenter Street toward 2nd Street when he was approached by an unknown white male and an unknown white female approached him. After a brief conversation the unknown female struck the complainant in the upper torso. When the complainant attempted to escape the unknown male, who was armed with a handgun, fired the handgun striking the complainant in his left leg. When the complainant fell to the ground after being shot, both suspects fled the area and were last seen east on the 100 block of Carpenter Street toward Front Street.
