Mystery animal attacks plantation workers in Malaysia

Workers at a Malaysian oil palm plantation were left scratching their heads after coming under attack from a strange dog-like creature that emerged from the jungle and charged at them. The unusual animal that looks like a tailless dog crossbred with a monkey was caught on camera by a group of Indonesian workers last Friday, Singapore's Straits Times reports. One of the group who saw the beast said workers were shocked when the animal launched itself at them. "None of us has ever seen such thing," the worker said. "One of us then hit the animal until it appeared to have passed out." Another worker said the creature "could be a rare species of bear". "When it regained consciousness, we forced it to go back into the jungle," he said. The video appears to have been shot shortly after the animal regained consciousness.
