A dash cam video has captured the moment a driver narrowly avoided hitting a pedestrian on a dark rural road.
The footage recorded on Friday shows a car travelling along a dark rural road in Launceston, Tasmania, when a pedestrian appears in the headlights only metres ahead.
The woman appears on the left side of the road and suddenly notices the car coming towards them, but has little time to move.
Immediately the driver instinctively swerves to the right narrowly avoiding the woman and yells, 'Oh s***, that was that lady that was on the road earlier.'
'I nearly just ran a person over.'
No one was injured in the incident.
