A bus driver was brutally beaten by a passenger in front of horrified commuters after he stopped a woman who boarded the vehicle.
The driver was left covered in blood as a result of the attack , which was captured on the bus' CCTV cameras.
It is claimed the driver had objected to a woman boarding through a door in the middle of the vehicle before her son lashed out at him.
Security video from inside the bus shows the man, in a yellow t-shirt, land at least five punches on the driver's face before he is pulled away.
A woman in a green top bravely positioned herself between the attacker and the driver to bring the horrifying ordeal to an end.
The victim, who covered his head while he was being hit, was seen wiping blood from his face in the immediate aftermath, and blood can be seen on the floor.
Despite the driver obviously having a bad head injury, with blood gushing from above his left eyebrow, passengers continued to board the bus.
A man in a white shirt, who appears to be a colleague of the battered driver, hands him a towel before getting off the bus.
The attacker was seen exiting the vehicle after the assault.
It was unclear whether he had been arrested by police following the incident which is believed to have happened on a bus in the city of Baku in Azerbaijan.
