A thug wielding a large knife was caught on CCTV as he opened a car door and stabbed his victim who had been trying to flee from a flight outside a nightclub.
Vandross Williams has been sentenced to nine years in jail after attacking another man near Bristol city centre.
The fight broke out in the Jack of Diamonds nightclub on August 20, and spilled out onto the street, reports the Bristol Post .
Moments later, 26-year-old Williams, of Easton, attacked his victim, who has not been named by police, in a car as he tried to flee.
Avon and Somerset Police Detective Inspector Adam Smith said: “Williams displayed a shocking level of violence in a city centre street on a summer’s night that will not be tolerated.
