Larry Sloan and his wife moved to Nevada and bought the Talent Factory Theater because they love its rich history. They transformed the once old movie theater into a live performance comedy club.
They found an old wallet lodged in floorboards on the third floor while working on renovations.
“It was plastic, so the first thing that came to my mind is this must be a child’s wallet,” said Sloan. “I had no idea how old it would be.”
A pocket calendar found in the wallet revealed that the wallet had been left in 1944. The wallet also held ration stamps, a Boy Scout card, faded photos and an ID.
Clare McIntosh, 85, is very much alive. He saw his wallet for the first time in 71 years Monday.
