When asked if he felt sorry for locking his Pakistani bride in the basement, enslaving her after bringing her to the UK, Safraz Ahmed had no remorse at all.
Ahmed not only enslaved his wife, he beat her so badly she tried to end her own life.
The 34 year old Muslim has been charged with conspiracy to hold a person in domestic servitude, initially denying the offence.

Ahmed married Sumara Iram in 2006 in an arranged marriage in her home city Gurjat, in the Pakistani state of Punjab.
