Three teenage girls, ages 13 and 14, were arrested and charged with animal cruelty after posting a series of videos of them beating a rabbit on Snapchat.The video shows all three girl giggling as two of them pick the rabbit up and slam it against the wall several times hard enough that you can hear the thump. You can see them grab it by its throat and kick it when they chase it around the room. The video was ripped and posted on Facebook for the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office to find. It didn’t take them long to identify and arrest the three girls.The rabbit has been taken by Nassau County Animal Services, where it received medical attention. X-rays showed it had a fracture in its leg but was in fine health otherwise. A representative said that it will be a while before the rabbit is put up for adoption. The three girls were taken to a juvenile detention facility in Jacksonville while they await their trial.
