Rep. Duncan Hunter (R., Calif.), told Fox’s Bill Hemmer in no uncertain terms how he felt about Hillary Clinton’s personality Friday, calling her a “shrill, loud person.” Hunter, one of the first supporters of Republican nominee Donald Trump, reacted to Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D., Mass.) latest criticisms of Trump at her press conference in Washington, D.C., Thursday night. “You were one of the first supporters of Donald Trump. React to that because it’s getting nasty,” Hemmer said. “This is not about personality. This is about who can run the country better. Who is the best person to make the country work better? Who is the best person for the economy? Who is the best person for the border? Who is the best person for the military?” Duncan asked.
Then, Duncan expressed his views if the presidential race were to come down to personality. “I don’t care about personality, and by the way, if I had to go on personality, I would still go with Trump over Hillary Clinton. She is a shrill, loud person. If I wanted to vote for my grandmother, I would vote for Hillary Clinton,” Duncan said. Clinton has been noted for a “shouty” style of speaking at public events. At one event, she yelled that Americans needed to stop yelling at one another.
