Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner released police video Thursday to show that a black man fatally shot by police this month was armed, but activists remained unsatisfied that the body cameras - and the policy that governs them - leave the public questioning the accounts of what happened.
Footage from the cameras of both officers who approached Alva Braziel on July 9 begin after the 38-year-old has been hit. He is lying in the street at the intersection of Cullen and Ward on his back in a blood-stained white undershirt.
The graphic videos show the officers approaching Braziel, who is lifeless and clutching a pistol, until one pulls the gun from Braziel's right hand.
The video also shows the black witness’ unwillingness to cooperate with the police on his statement to what actually happened
