A dash-cam from an armed response vehicle captured a horrific accident late last Thursday in Church Street, Bronkhorstspruit, after a Golf 6 and a minibus skipped red/ amber lights and collided."One of our supervisor vehicles was parked at a red light when the incident unfolded," Jacobus Janse van Rensburg, Operations manager at Golf Echo Response, told News24.
"As you can see in the video, the oncoming Golf sped through the intersection when the traffic light was still red, while the minibus coming from the right was also partly to blame, crossing the intersection when the light was amber.
"Three people died on the scene," he added. "Emergency services responded quickly after our control room reported the accident."According to Janse Van Resuburg, the minibus was in fact not a taxi, but belonged to a delivery company.
"There were four people in the minibus - only the driver and a passenger survived," he said. "The other two were a couple, who sadly burned to death inside the vehicle. We're unsure how many people were inside the Golf. One passenger was thrown under the vehicle and declared dead on the scene, although emergency services did attempt to resuscitate him."
