Recently declassified footage shows a U.S. Air Force pilot saved from certain death by the aircraft's AGCA system (Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System). The pilot was undergoing a vigorous aircraft maneuver at the time, which subjected him to over 8G of forces. As a result he loses consciousness followed by the plane pitching nose down. Moments before hitting the ground, the AGCA system initiated and corrected the plane to stable flight. The pilot then regained consciousness an took back control of the aircraft.
