Richard "Dick" Yuengling Jr. earlier this week endorsed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
That set off legions of loyal Yuengling beer drinkers.
On Monday, Trump's son Eric Trump toured the D.G. Yuengling & Son's brewery in Pottsville, on a campaign stop. While there, Eric Trump called Yuengling "an amazing American success story," according to the Reading Eagle newspaper. "We need a lot more of these."
Dick Yuengling apparently welcomed the younger Trump and thanked him for visiting, saying "Our guys are behind your father. We need him in there."
So started a Yuengling beer backlash.
Upset beer drinkers have taken to social media all week to share their displeasure for Yuengling's stance. Some have said they will no longer drink the beer, vowing to boycott it.
