On Monday, November 7th, 2016, at 11:15 am, the victim, a 43 year-old male, was meeting a friend at Broad Street and Olney Avenue and had just exited a cab. While waiting for his friend heard multiple gunshots and was struck in the left leg. The victim did not see who was shooting or didn’t know why he would have been targeted. The victim was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the back of his left leg and was listed in stable condition.
While inside Albert Einstein Medical Center a second victim, a 29 year-old male, was located. The victim stated while he was on the 1300 block of West Olney Avenue near Broad Street crossing towards the northbound side of the street, he heard 2-4 gunshots and felt something hit the side of his head. When the victim felt his head he noticed he was bleeding and walked to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was treated for a graze wound to the side of his head and was listed in stable condition. The victim did not see who was shooting and did not know anyone who would have targeted him.
Surveillance video recovered from the area depicts an unknown black male walking west on Olney Avenue towards the 5600 block of North Broad Street. The suspect then walks through a crown of people when he singles out the victims and fires several shots then fled the area on foot and was last seen east on Olney Avenue then south on Chew Avenue.
Suspect Description: Black male, dark complected, stocky build, beard, wearing a gray pull over hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and gray & white sneakers with turquoise emblem.
