A WOMAN is fighting for her life after her ex-boyfriend tied a noose around her neck, hitched it in a to his car and dragged her through the streets of a small German town.
The woman became detached from the rope at some point and was later found with most of her skin ripped off and bleeding profusely on a footpath in the town of Hamelin - made famous through the Pied Piper.
The victim was so badly injured she had to be flown by medical chopper to a nearby hospital. Her boyfriend, 38, later turned himself into police.
A police spokesman confirmed that the man - both are reported to have Turkish-German roots - dragged the woman through several streets before she became disconnected.
