Due to some operational error, a driver rolled 50 meters down the road into the Jinsha River, part of the upper stretches of the Yangtze River in Sichuan Province, southwest China.
His left leg was stuck in a gap between the rear wheel and the body of the car. Workers from a nearby power factory jumped into the icy water to help the driver and pulled the car with safety ropes so that they would not be washed away.
Police and firefighters were immediately called to the scene which expedited the rescue effort.
