Some people are born to be parents. They thrive on watching their little ones grow and sacrifice everything for their child’s happiness. Oftentimes when one takes the plunge into the world of parenting, they find that they are far more likely to be caring for all people and that their child has played a major role in “softening” them up. And then, of course, there is that thing called patience. One of the gifts of becoming a parent is the learned patience and understanding that comes along with the role. It’s pretty hard not to learn the trait when you have a toddler who is dead set on turning your life upside down and in disarray. A new parent quickly learns how to loosen their grip on cleanliness and they are more open to changing their schedule at the last minute due to a child’s tantrum, a sporadic fever, or a million other things that have a chance of popping up during the day.
