An RAF parachutist missed his landing zone and smashed into a burger van yesterday during an RAF air display at Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, England.According to the Bristol Post in the UK, the incident occurred around 1.20pm on Sunday afternoon at the popular seaside resort of Weston in Somerset.
Unfortunately, the parachutist in question also hit a pensioner during the botched landing and both parties were taken to hospital with minor injuries; the parachutist has since left hospital.
Speaking about the incident, a spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "There will be liaison between various agencies to ensure an appropriate investigation into the incident takes place."
