Passersby have recently rescued a driver who was trapped in a burning pickup in Jinan city, north China's Shandong Province.
The accident happened when the pickup collided with a car on a dam on Yellow River at about 16:00 on Sunday.
The car then caught fire and its driver escaped immediately, but the pickup driver lost consciousness by then.
Fanned by the wind, the fire soon spread towards the pickup, threatening the life of the unconscious driver who was trapped inside.
The driver woke up later and yelled for help.
Passersby rushed to the pickup and tried to push the pickup away from the burning car but failed as the wheels of the pickup were jammed in the green belt on roadside. Others called police and ambulance.
Some passersby managed to break open the door on the front seat's side but they couldn't drag out the driver who remained trapped inside. Fire soon engulfed the door, forcing rescuers to move to the driver's door to conduct rescue.
They then cut the door on the driver's side using a giant pair of pliers and helped the driver to the ambulance.
Moments after the driver was took to the ambulance, the driver's seat was engulfed in fire.
Firefighters then arrived and extinguished the fire and only to find the two vehicles were burn to frames.
Thanks to timely rescue, the pickup driver only suffered some fractures and slight burns.
