An eight-months-pregnant woman proved that mothers-to-be are not to be messed with last week, when she chased after a thief who tried to steal her rent money.
The unlikely chase was caught on surveillance cameras at the Canyon Country, California convenience store where 24-year-old Janette Garlow was getting a money order Friday night, around 10:30pm.
The footage, obtained by KTLA, shows Garlow counting money on the counter when 'out of nowhere' a man came up from behind her, pushed her and stole her money.
Garlow tried to stop the car by holding onto one of the doors, but she was unsuccessful.
Luckily though, the suspect dropped most of
Garlow's rent money when he tripped, so that he only left with about $40.
After the incident, Garlow's husband Justin took her to the hospital to make sure that their baby was ok. Both mom and her unborn son were cleared as healthy.
The thief still remains at large. Police say he was riding in a white Ford Fusion.
