An unconscious woman risked being crushed to death under a moving vehicle in south China’s Guangdong Province before swift intervention from passersby.
The incident happened on Wednesday in the city of Foshan, when a pedestrian fainted while crossing a sloped street next to a tunnel without being noticed by a van driver due to heavy fog.
Footage of the incident shows how the front wheel of the van was pressing against the woman’s upper body.
When the driver tried to back up, his vehicle rolled down by mistake and risked rolling over the pedestrian. Luckily, in the nick of time, the crowd managed to stop the vehicle with their joined efforts.
Liu Yuzhen, a traffic guide in a yellow waistcoat, dragged away the passed out woman quickly, which caused injuries to her right hand.
