Just hours before being fatally shot by her boyfriend, a Florida woman was told by police to 'stop calling 911' after a domestic dispute.
Latina Herring, 35, was captured on newly released dashcam footage arguing with her boyfriend Allen Cashe, before police determined it was a 'civil' disturbance and accused her of making false reports.
Three hours later, Cashe returned to Herring's home with his AK-47, and shot the mother, killing her and her eight-year-old son, and injured her father and seven-year-old son.
Police arrived at a Wawa in Sanford, Florida around 3:20am on Monday after receiving the 911 call.
In the footage obtained by WESH, Herring can be heard arguing with Cashe as police stand by, and she accuses him of taking the keys to her house and refusing to give them back.
Cashe maintained that he didn't have the keys to her home, and authorities separated the two and asked them both questions about their relationship.
Cashe says: 'I ain't got time to play games, she comes home with an attitude coming home from the club drunk.'
Officers on the scene allowed him to leave and deemed the situation as stable.
Of Herring, they said: 'She's making false accusations. It's the second time she's done it.'
They can then be heard telling the distraught mother: 'We're going to handle it ma'am, just stop calling 911 and making accusations that you don't know about, alright?'
At one point, an officer says: 'I think he's calling because he's afraid he's going to do something to her.'
Around 6:30am, police believe Cashe returned with the gun and shot dead his girlfriend and her young son.
'I can't stress enough that this scene is one of the worst that our officers and investigators have ever responded to,' Sanford spokeswoman Bianca Gillett said, according to Click Orlando. 'It's horrific.'
Friends of Herring say they are disappointed in the actions of police, who they believe had ample opportunity to stop an escalating situation.
'Sanford PD's a big disappointment to me and to others,' said Ladasha Beasley, a friend of Herring.
'To protect and serve who man? Who? Justice needs to be served.'
Police were called again later in the evening when the couple started arguing again back at the Herring's house.
Herring gave the officer who arrived on the scene a bag of Cashe's belongings, which reportedly included a gun. It's unclear if the officer knew there was a weapon in the bag.
The same 911 caller called back shortly after to say Cashe had a gun, but at that moment the officer was still at the residence.
Herring was pronounced dead at the scene, while her two sons - 7-year-old Brendon and 8-year-old Brandon - and father were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The sons were airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children while the grandfather was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital
Cashe then reportedly fled the house and ran to West 24th Street and Marshall Avenue where he shot two more bystanders, both of whom were also taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital. Both are in stable condition.
Police say the bystanders, a man and a woman, were not connected to Cashe. the female is a student at Winter Springs High School.
